Who are the Unit Owners' Association?

The people behind the Unit Owners' Association are all keenly interested in the rights and interests of proprietors of all types of home units and townhouses.

Established as a non-profit organisation in 1978, the Unit Owners' Association of Queensland Inc has the following objectives:

We Exist

  • To promote and protect the interests of owners of all types of units covered by the
    Body Corporate and Community Management Act 1997
  • To educate and inform unit proprietors about matters of interest and concern to them, and their rights and obligations as owners of units
  • To promote, write and distribute useful and relevant handouts, newsletters and other written matters to unit owners
  • To represent the interests of members both individually and collectively
  • To encourage governments at all levels to take the interests of unit owners seriously
  • To foster discussions and co-operation with other special interest groups in the industry, and to present the interests and rights of unit owners in government advisory groups

Membership benefits

By joining the Unit Owners' Association you will be ensuring that you have a say in matters which vitally impact on your interests as a unit owner.

You will protect your investment in a unit.

You will add strength to the Unit Owners' Association in its relationships with government departments and other industry lobby groups.

You will receive personal guidance should you have any problems

Membership fees

$60 per annum for membership, OR
$55 per annum (if over 60 years of age and you live in a unit)
