As of April 2008, all buildings (not detached houses or carports) constructed or renovated from 1997 must display the Certificate of Classification in a prominent location on the building. Fines of $16,500 are applicable if these are not displayed. For buildings constructed prior to 23 April 2008 have until 23 April 2009 to have the certificates displayed.
